Forward rolling

In ICT today we used the Numicon software. We enjoyed using the computers for a purpose as well as developing our mouse skills.

Rocking and rolling!

We have enjoyed our first PE session with Mrs Sharman. We have rocked and rolled on our backs and bellies.

We have enjoyed our first 3 day’s back at school. We have a new chalk board which we have loved drawing and writing on. We have also enjoyed playing in our builders yard. In maths we are learning about place value upto 50. In literacy we are learning about poems. We have re-told a poem to the whole class.

This week we spoke about our favourite books. We looked on Amazon and ordered some for our classroom. They have just arrived after school today! We have 3 of our favourite stories to look forward to next term. 📚📖

Today we have had a special day where Miss Whittaker’s friend came to teach us the Zodiac Story. Edwin taught us how to say numbers 1-7 in Mandarin then we learned a number song. Here we are some pictures of us trying to learn the songs and Edwin teaching us.

We then had a food tasting afternoon. We loved the Chinese cookies, pears and lychee, most of us enjoyed the twisted cookies but not many of us liked the seaweed. Can you tell if we liked the food or not?

We are becoming more confident using tens frames to add.
