Maths
This morning we went outside to find one more and one less than a number. We had lots of fun!
One more and one less
I’m maths we are learning to find one more and one less than a given number.
Art
Today we looked at different shells. We then used 2B, 4B and 6B pencils to draw the shells.
P.E.
In P.E we are learning an under water dance. So far we have learned the moves; Bob the fish, Cyril the seahorse, Daphne the dolphin and Kevin the crab.
Enhanced provision
The children have settled into Y1 quickly. They are enjoying exploring the classroom and learning using different equipment.
Secret Garden
Today we went into the secret garden. We were looking for signs of Summer and Autumn. We saw some green leaves on the trees and some brown leaves on the floor. We saw some flowers in full bloom and we saw some flowers which were dying. Here are some pictures of us exploring the garden.
year 1 sight words
By the end of year 1 children are expected to read and write these 100 sight words. We read them during phonics and literacy but it would be appreciated if you would read them at home too.
